Description
FIFES is the International Environmental and Social Film Festival. For the past year, one Wednesday evening a month, you can watch a film from the official lineup.
Ramiro Lezcano, a music teacher in a rural area of Argentina, is horrified to discover that planes are spraying pesticides near schools, endangering the health of his students. In response, he and the children compose songs to draw attention to the problem, but their initiative faces strong resistance from the local community. To make their protest heard, Ramiro decides to organize a concert in an open field: an “environmental Woodstock.”
