Discovery of the Gaoutabry dolmen, an unsuspected megalithic heritage in the Var.

The Var is home to many megaliths. Come and discover this unsuspected heritage and its particularities around one of the largest dolmens in the department: the Gaoutabry dolmen, dated 2800 years B.C. Panorama of the Maures hills, the coastline and the Golden Islands. With Nathalie LEYDIER, in charge of heritage Visit for adults but possible with children able to walk 10 minutes on an incline and follow the commentary for 45 minutes. - No pushchairs - Walking shoes or trainers obligatory. - Bring water, hat, sun cream. Walking distance: 500 m (positive accumulation: 20 m)

Meeting point for the guided tour: DFCI tank next to a pictogrammed stone stele located at the top of the ND des Maures track
To get there, park your vehicle along the RD88 in the Ginouviers district or just at the bottom of the track, then walk along it for 2 km following the blue markings and the pictogrammed stele (150 m difference in height).
