The visit takes place in the Pesquiers saltworks, a former production site now recognized as one of the most remarkable natural areas on the Var coast.
The tour follows the gradual transformation of a fishing pond into a saltworks, and explains how salt was harvested and processed for over a hundred years.
The tour covers the trades of yesteryear, salt-related traditions and crystal formation. Along the way, the natural wealth of the site is revealed, with the possible presence of migratory or sedentary birds.

- Access / transport :
o Mistral bus line no. 67, La Capte stop
o By car: direction port / presqu'île de Giens. After the La Capte sign, you can park near the pottery or further towards the village. Entrance to the salt works is via the footbridge at the La Capte bus stop.
