Discover an activity that is somewhat suspect for this region of the French Riviera: the exploitation of a mine, which gave birth to the commune of La Londe les Maures.

Discover l'Argentière around 1890 from the perspective of Europe's largest zinc deposit. And in the heart of a gallery, unique in the department for its remains dating back to before the 17th century, let yourself be guided into the world of the miners through the two periods of exploitation of the mine. With Nathalie LEYDIER, heritage officer Distance: 500 m on the sand and 75 m of gallery (a few steps to reach the gallery) Duration: 1h15 - Closed shoes that are not afraid of dirt are recommended. (Those not equipped will be refused access to the gallery). - Narrow, low and dark gallery. Not recommended for people who are afraid of confined, dark spaces (if you refuse to visit the mine once you are there and despite the recommendations, you will still have to wait at the entrance to the gallery for reasons of liability). - Headlamps, headgear and helmets provided. - Visit possible with children aged 3 and over who are able to follow for 1 hour 15 minutes, walk and wear a helmet. - No pushchairs or baby carriers in the gallery. - Bring water and sun protection. - The time shown is the departure time, please arrive 10 minutes before.
