In the May sunlight, I was walking along a path—my favorite one. In the distance, a man was trimming the branches that stuck out from the hedges. I walked over and asked him if I could pick them up. “Of course. To make a bouquet?” he replied. I then offered to show him some photos. “Show me… Show me. Oh, that’s beautiful!” He immediately called out to his neighbor: “Are you there? Come take a look at these beautiful things. ” After a few minutes of pleasant conversation, I said goodbye, carrying the branches and a few gifts from his neighbor. That evening, on my table, was a bouquet: Hana Hanabi (fireworks).
