Haut bas fragile

With “Haut bas fragile,” the NEO art & culture lab x VogelART in Nice presents the third exhibition curated by Thomas Zitzwitz. Following the highly acclaimed exhibitions “Tendre est la Nuit” and “Encre Sympathique,” Zitzwitz continues his exploration of contemporary artistic practices, bringing together international artists in a multifaceted dialogue centered on fragility, transformation, and that state of suspension between opposing poles. The exhibition’s title is borrowed from Jacques Rivette’s film *Haut bas fragile* (1995). Its playful and open narrative, as well as its penchant for what remains unresolved and unfinished, echo an artistic sensibility that also permeates the exhibition. High, low, fragile—these terms describe not only emotional states but also the ambivalences of our time. They refer to experiences shared by many today, in life as well as in art. The exhibition brings together works that explore vulnerability, transformation, and resilience. The diversity of media and artistic approaches creates a field of tension between lightness and gravity, intimacy and public space, stability and uncertainty. The result is a multifaceted journey that invites visitors to develop their own perspective on the fragile and the unfinished.
