The Henri Manguin Space: Art in the Heart of an Exceptional Village
Located at the summit of the perched village of Gassin, the Henri Manguin Space is a must-see cultural venue on the Saint-Tropez peninsula. Nestled within one of the "Most Beautiful Villages in France," this space consists of two vast 100 m² galleries, offering a sleek and luminous setting where ancient stone meets contemporary creation.
The venue’s name pays tribute to the famous painter Henri Manguin (1874-1949). Dubbed "the painter of voluptuousness" by Apollinaire, this master of Fauvism was one of the first artists to fall under the spell of Gassin. He stayed there for long periods, capturing the unique light and flamboyant panoramas of the gulf from the village heights, thus contributing to the town's artistic reputation.
Throughout the summer season, the Henri Manguin Space transforms into a prestigious showcase for the art scene. Painters, sculptors, and visual artists follow one another, offering visitors an eclectic and constantly renewed program.
It is a privileged cultural stopover that allows for the discovery of Gassin’s medieval heritage alongside original works in an intimate atmosphere.
As the village's true artistic heart, the Henri Manguin Space continues Gassin's tradition of welcoming creators, where one's gaze embraces both art and the horizon.
