In the Vallon de la Sorcière there is a pleasant refuge on the shores of a lake... maybe you will spot the saxifrage (Saxifraga florentula),a plant which is endemic in the Franco-Italian Argentera-Mercantour mountains.

Pass the hamlet of Casterino and continue towards the Valmasque valley, for about 2.5 km. The hike starts at the Mercantour National Park entrance signs (marker 394 ).

Access

Go past the hamlet of Casterino and continue for about 2.5 km to reach a place called "Potamou". The hike starts at the Mercantour National Park entrance signs (marker 394).
