Description
A 5-hour hike in the footsteps of the Sainte-Eurosie chapel.
From the waste disposal site 2 km upstream of the village (916m - b.30), walk along a wide dirt track to the Trérious district, literally "les Trois Torrents" (b.31, 32). From here, walk past the barns and cross the second Trérious torrent (footbridge).
The path climbs the Pra-long greenhouse via a myriad of switchbacks and soon reaches the two Pra-long barns. Continue southwards and soon reach the Sainte-Eurosie chapel (1,700m - b.34) and the flower-filled alpine pastures that surround it.
Turn left along the edge of the meadows, and follow a good path down to the Trérious stream (1,600m).
Continue eastwards to the Pimia barns (1,563m -b.33). Start the descent towards the Tinée on a forestry path that runs parallel to the one you took on the way up, after several switchbacks.
It doesn't take long to reach the morning starting point (beacons 32, 31 and 30).
