Description
A recommended hike in summer and early autumn, it follows excellent trails in a pleasant woodland setting.
From the village square, descend to cross the M.2205 road, then the Tinée on the Louch bridge (b.1, 2).
Turn left on a narrow track to the second bend (b.3), from where a path climbs up to the Vallon de la Roche. At the last barn, take the path to the right (b.5), passing the Sainte Anne oratory before crossing the Louch track a little further up (b.6).
After the combe du Lavinier, reach the cool clearing of Lauset (b.8) with its abandoned barns (spring and small lake - 1,490m). Rise about 30 m (b.25) to go left up the lower Malbosc wood to the hill (1,660m).
At beacon 29, change direction radically (due north) to return to the valley via beacons 9, 10, 5, 3 , 2 and 1.
Option: Possibility of shortening the circuit by cutting across the Malbosc massif from marker 8 directly to marker 9.
