Hiking - Col et Tête Mercière

From the Front de Neige, head up towards the chapel, then stay on the track to the right of the Belvédère ski lift. Then take the track that joins the hill reservoir and take the left-hand path down to a small wooden footbridge. Cross the footbridge and take the track on the right to reach the eagle sculpture at the top of the Belvédère ski lift. From the eagle, join the junction at marker 91 towards the Terre Rouge lakes. Cross a scree and continue to marker 92, then head south-east towards Col Mercière. From the pass (b95), you enter the Mercantour National Park. Follow the path on the right up along the ridge to reach the Tête Mercière at 2,491m. Return by the same route.
