Description
The more Jann Gallois looks at women, the more she recognizes herself in them, in their strength and gentle power. With Imminentes, the choreographer pursues her ambition to make dance a humanist language.
His work consists of writing with bodies, sculpting movement in space and time. A deeply moving show, to be seen, felt and heard long afterwards.
Coming from diverse backgrounds, from hip-hop to contemporary dance, the six dancers unite in a collective breath, weaving a mesmerizing fresco where every movement becomes an act of resistance and hope. Sometimes witches, goddesses or nymphs, they embody the plurality of the feminine and the capacity of life to assert itself despite the violence of the world. Their murmurs, at first discreet, gradually give way to powerful cries. The sisterhood that unites them reminds us that, despite conflicts, a common, unchanging energy animates us all.
