Description
The FAMM, the world’s first museum outside the United States dedicated to women artists, presents its second winter exhibition at the Art Centre: the first solo exhibition in France devoted to Swiss artist Louisa Gagliardi, curated by Simon de Pury.
The first exhibition dedicated to the artist by an institution in France, it spans two floors and brings together fifteen works created between 2017 and 2026, including predominantly paintings alongside three sculptures.
Gagliardi’s creative process lies at the intersection of the digital and the analogue, and her compositions feature figures who rarely look directly at one another. They observe each other through windows, reflections and doorways, in interiors that seem suspended in time.
Visitors enter these scenes as intruders, constructing their own narratives, which the artist deliberately leaves open to interpretation.
The exhibition’s title reveals its central theme: what is hidden in plain sight.
