Inauguration & Cross-Border Tour of the VeRo Project

A new chapter is beginning for the tourism and rail heritage of our valleys! As part of the European VeRo project, the town of Breil-sur-Roya invites you to a grand, festive, cross-border weekend of celebration and discovery. ON THE PROGRAM: • Friday, October 30 — Official Inauguration 4:00 p.m.: Inauguration of the immersive space (11 Boulevard Rouvier). 4:30 p.m.: Inauguration of the renovated “Train des Merveilles” ecomuseum. 5:00 p.m.: Cocktail reception open to the public to conclude this inaugural event. • Saturday, October 31 (10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.) — Cross-Border Welcome Come and give a warm welcome to the residents and representatives of Borgo San Dalmazzo as they arrive at the Breil-sur-Roya train station. Together, set out to explore the new facilities and the site’s various attractions. A day dedicated to sharing, camaraderie, and Franco-Italian friendship. • Sunday, November 1 — VeRo Route Discovery Day Hop aboard the historic train to explore the VeRo cross-border route, connecting the Roya Valley (France) to the Vermegnana Valley (Italy), from Breil-sur-Roya to Borgo San Dalmazzo. Once there, you can explore the new facilities in Borgo San Dalmazzo. Historic train on Sunday, November 1: Free. Online reservations required (reservations open Wednesday, October 28, at 7:00 p.m.). The European VeRo project (Adventure between Roya and Vermegnana) showcases the cultural and natural heritage of our regions: 8 unique towns to visit on both sides of the border. 12 sites specially designed for families to learn about history and heritage while having fun.
