Description
Joris Frigerio has conceived Instabile as a circus creation in two parts. On a rolling, unstable and unpredictable stage, balance is negotiated at every second by the three performers.
The stage set-up, as demanding as it is innovative, imposes a sense of urgency: keep moving to stay alive. Through this vibrant tension, Instabile explores our relationship with time in a world in perpetual turmoil.
The piece opens with an acrobatic and theatrical solo: a body is caught in spite of itself on a conveyor belt, condemned to move forward in a mechanism that never stops. It staggers, falls, gets up again and starts over. Then, without interruption, a duo of acrobats takes over. Two bodies rise, cling, carry and abandon each other. In pairs, balance is built through effort, the bond supports as much as it constrains.
With Joris Frigerio, Magdalena Hidalgo Witker, Nicolas Moreno.
