The Parfumerie Fragonard has brought together in this garden the most beautiful perfume plants that represent the olfactory heritage of the Grasse region, as well as other fragrant species grown and produced in various countries around the world.
We invite you to embark on this fascinating olfactory journey, during which your sense of smell and your olfactory memory will be put to the test.
Together, we’ll take a stroll rich in history, botany, and linguistics—because Latin reigns supreme in the world of plants!
Our scent trail lets you discover the plants and trees used in perfumery, aromatherapy, and even cooking.
From pelargonium to rosemary, including lemongrass, sweet orange, and other fragrant species, let yourself be surprised as you touch and smell!
As you stroll through the scented garden, you’ll encounter the iconic plants of Grasse’s perfumery tradition, which are used in the creation of famous fragrances: from May rose to osmanthus, from bitter orange to verbena and tuberose, from iris to jasmine—let yourself be captivated by the fascinating history of flowers, plants, their cultivation, and the techniques used to extract essences.
A tour of the factory—which also houses the Fragonard House’s fragrance formulation laboratory—completes the vibrant, sensory experience you’ll have enjoyed in the garden. Here, you’ll learn how essences are analyzed and brought to life in fragrance compositions.
