For over 75 years, the people of Grasse have come together on the fi rst weekend of August to celebrate one of their most emblematic flowers: jasmine. From August 1st to 3rd, don’t miss the floral magic of this essential summer event in the heart of Grasse.
Every year since 1946, Grasse has celebrated jasmine with the traditional Fête du Jasmin. Corso in bloom, concerts, fireworks and strolls... a weekend-long celebration of Grasse's emblematic flower. At the heart of the festivities, the grand corso fleuri enchants young and old with its magnificently decorated floats, parading in an explosion of colors and scents. One of the most eagerly awaited moments is the jasmine sprinkling, when thousands of fresh flowers are thrown into the crowd, creating an immersive, magical atmosphere. Concerts, street entertainment and shows complete this festive event, which attracts thousands of visitors every year. A true symbol of local tradition, the Fête du Jasmin perpetuates the heritage of a unique region, where the cultivation of flowers is inseparable from the Grasse identity. Friday, July 31st Dance & fireworks Cours Honoré Cresp 7pm to midnight: Dance party 22h15 : Fireworks Look up and enjoy the colorful rockets fired from the Jardin des Plantes. Saturday, August 1st Entertainment & flower parade Historic center and Cours Honoré Cresp Free for all 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.: Flower market Place aux Aires 3pm to 7pm: Walkabouts Musicians, circus performers, dancers... artists stroll through the historic center in a festive atmosphere. festive atmosphere. 9pm to midnight: Flower Corso and Flower Battle Under the fragrant rain of the fire department, experience the heart of the Jasmine Festival. Sunday, August 02 Provencal Day 10 to 11:30 a.m.: Provençal mass Jardin de la Princesse Pauline Join us in the Jardin de la Princesse Pauline to experience the Provençal tradition. 1:30 pm: Mondial Parfumé de Boules Carrées Place du Petit Puy Gather everything you need for a frantic tournament in the historic center.
