As the only brass band in the world to perform with a DJ (using the "scratchophone"), these high-caliber musicians blend elements of hip-hop and scratching with jazz, Afrobeat, and groove sounds. The group’s musical identity places the scratchophone at the heart of the ensemble.
Trumpet, saxophone, trombone, sousaphone, and percussion blend with the sounds of the machine, orchestrated by a DJ. Jazz Combo Box is the only mobile brass band in the world—equally at home on the street and on stage—to perform with a scratchophonist.
