Description
Have you heard of Noel Rosa? In Brazil, he’s a true legend. Though he passed away far too soon, at just 26 years old, he still had time to revolutionize samba and inspire the greatest artists, such as Tom Jobim and João Gilberto.
His songs depict everyday life in Rio with an irresistible blend of humor, irony, and tenderness.
To pay tribute to him, two artists from our region are joining forces. On one hand, Nice-based pianist Jo Kaiat, a lover of jazz and world music. He has collaborated with double bassist Avishai Cohen and drummer Noam David. On the other, the luminous voice of Jussanam, a Brazilian singer based in Cannes.
Together, they take us on a journey from the hills of Rio to the jazz clubs. An evening dedicated to sharing and bossa nova.
Performers: Jussanam, vocals, and Jo Kaiat, piano.
Production: Gig event.
