Through their personal writings, we’ll get to experience, alongside them, the behind-the-scenes story of a friendship that shaped some of the finest works in 20th-century theater and cinema. We’ll gain a very concrete sense of Marcel Pagnol’s wit and mischief, as well as Jules Raimu’s candor and common sense. We’ll witness their accolades: admission to the Comédie-Française for one and to the Académie Française for the other.
A dynamic production that reveals the man behind the author and the child behind the legendary figure. More than just a play, it’s a portrait of a century in which friendship was the greatest of all films.
