Description
A trail that passes by numerous high-altitude lakes and offers superb panoramic views of the Mercantour peaks.
From the Millefonts parking lot (b.82),
Head north along the GR®52 to the Col de Veillos (2,194 m - b.83),
Continue to the upper Millefonts lakes (Rond, Long, and Gros lakes), leaving Petit Lake below,
Reach the Col de Barn (2,452 m - b.84),
Leave the GR® and hike off-trail (southeast) up the ridge (b.77),
Continue along the ridge to the right to Mont Pépoiri (2,674 m),
Enjoy the 360° panoramic view,
Return via the same route.
Hiking shoes are highly recommended.
