A performance following a residency in contemporary dance and butoh as part of the “Les Inclassables #09” artist-in-residence program by Cie /TranS/ - Laurence Marthouret.

Lamento Bazooka will present a choreographic exploration centered on the figure of the warrior (and, by extension, on the themes of war, death, and the fragility of the body, as well as the meaning of existence in the wake of a catastrophe). This project centers on dance and the body while maintaining a unique relationship with the visual arts (bodies clad in armor and wooden structures / set design), musical composition, and song (an immersive and poetic experience). In the style of the Surrealists, Le Sixièmétage’s productions are constructed like a puzzle in which different mediums blend and intertwine to bring to life a unique and surprising form of choreographic poetry. For this production, the company Le Sixièmétage has invited dancer-choreographer Kana Kitty (a leading figure among the new generation of Butoh choreographers) to share her artistic explorations and create a piece that fuses contemporary dance and Butoh in France.
