This is the story of a journey of self-discovery—the odyssey of young adults, and often adults in general—a quest to find one’s place amid family secrets, family legends, and unspoken truths. Amid fantastical epics, wild imaginings, and little white lies, what do we retain from our elders? It is also the story of a legacy passed down between two generations of women, of a hard-won freedom, and of the struggles that still lie ahead. This performance explores memory—the kind that is passed down, the kind that fades away, and the kind that transforms. Using everyday objects, it weaves an intimate narrative. What would we like to forget? Why do certain details fade away? Is it really so bad to reinvent reality?
