Educational trail that will offer you a sensational view of the reliefs of the Mercantour National Park and the Auron resort.
Take the Balcons d’Auron nature trail, which takes you all the way around the summit (2.5 km) before returning to your starting point. Throughout your walk, the Mercantour landscape will change, gradually revealing its secrets. Ten discreetly placed interpretive stations will give you a chance to catch your breath and make some unexpected discoveries. Before you start, stand in the center of the orientation map and locate the most iconic peaks of the Mercantour.
To reach it, you’ll need to take the Lieuson chairlift to the summit of Bercha.
There are several ways to reach the trailhead:
- Via the “Cime de Bercha” hike (without using the lifts)
- Via the “Piste de l’Eau” trail (at the top of the Chemin du Puy d’Auron) followed by the Lieuson chairlift
- Via Saint-Étienne-de-Tinée: La Pinatelle gondola + Lieuson chairlift
