Description
Following the success of Léon Blum, une vie héroïque, Charles Berling, Philippe Collin and Violaine Ballet continue their collaboration with Les Résistantes.
A new participatory theatrical event dedicated to three great female figures of the Resistance: Geneviève de Gaulle, Mila Racine and Lucie Aubrac.
Often reduced to a handful of romantic clichés, such as a young messenger on a bicycle or a fighter posing with her machine gun slung over her shoulder, women have long remained invisible in the history of the French Resistance. The fight against the Vichy regime and Nazism seemed a priori to be a "man's business".
Through the intersecting destinies of these three figures, Les Résistantes highlights the essential role played by women between 1940 and 1944: those who, in the shadows or in the light, fought tirelessly for freedom.
Radio and theater, spaces for the circulation and construction of thought, combine here to imagine a third space with the audience, who will take part in this journey through history during discussions, debates and songs. Imagined as an agora, this space will enable the public to enjoy an immersive experience over an entire evening, in the presence of a cartoonist, a historian, a choir...
With Violaine Ballet, Charles Berling, Philippe Collin, Sébastien Goethals [designer], Nicolas Roussellier alternating with Fabien Archambault [historians], Bérengère Warluzel
and the participation of a local choir, musicians and actors.
