Romain and Sabah, two lonely children, discover the incredible and the wonderful through their friendship, while facing the cruelty of their parents. A story by Fabrice Melquiot about racism and love for others.

Romain and Sabah are 9 years old. They are neighbors, and both are loners. He gallops on his wooden horse; she hunts bison as a Sioux warrior. When they meet, something incredible and wonderful happens. But their parents brutally oppose their budding love. Fabrice Melquiot’s intuitive words in this funny and sensitive play delicately confront us with the issues of racism and love for others. A parent-child theater workshop based on the play will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Followed by a discussion with the International League Against Racism and Discrimination (LICRA) at 5:30 p.m. Presented as part of the Les Buissonnières 2026 festival.
