Description
The 34th Victoires de la Musique Classique awards ceremony will take place in early February 2027, broadcast live from the Palais des Festivals in Cannes on France 3 and France Musique, featuring the Cannes National Orchestra, conducted by Holly Hyun Choe.
The 34th edition of the Victoires de la Musique Classique will take place on Thursday 4 February 2027 in the Grand Auditorium Louis Lumière at the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès.
This event forms part of the ‘Cannes On Air’ initiative, launched by David Lisnard in 2014 to establish and develop a sector dedicated to the cultural and creative industries in Cannes. It joins the major music events organised in Cannes, including MIDEM – relaunched by Cannes Town Hall in 2023 – and the NRJ Music Awards. Its arrival reinforces Cannes’ status as a leading destination for festivals and events and constitutes further recognition of its ability to host events of national and international significance.
Hosting the Victoires de la Musique Classique will also enhance the destination’s appeal and generate economic, tourism and media benefits for the town. Its broadcast in prime time on France Télévisions will provide Cannes with high national visibility.
The Cannes National Orchestra will take part in the ceremony alongside the guest artists. This participation will showcase the artistic excellence of the Cannes-based ensemble to a wide audience.
The people of Cannes will also be at the heart of this major event. On the initiative of David Lisnard, the local council will offer them tickets to attend the ceremony, as it does for other major events held in the town. Further details will be announced in due course.
