Description
Join us for the conference “Exobiology: In Search of Life” in Nice! An exciting cultural event dedicated to science, featuring debates and discussions. A fascinating topic you won’t want to miss!
How did life on Earth originate? Are there other forms of life elsewhere in the universe? These questions have long troubled the human mind. Today, we can examine them through a distinct scientific field—a multidisciplinary science—known as exobiology. It encompasses the study of the conditions and processes that enabled life to emerge on our planet—and that may have or could enable it elsewhere—as well as the search for living systems or their traces beyond Earth (the solar system, the interstellar medium, exoplanets, etc.). The lecture provides an overview of these various aspects. Martine Adrian-Scotto is a physicist by training and a retired professor in higher education and research. During her career, she turned to biophysics, conducting research focused in particular on quantum molecular modeling applied to molecules of exobiological interest.
