Le Dix-Huit welcomes Louis Winsberg & Yvan Cujious. A musical collaboration between two artists with unique styles, for an evening dedicated to jazz, guitar, and song. Thirty years after “1Voix 10Doigts,” Claude Nougaro’s legendary album recorded as a duo with Maurice Vander, here is “1 Voix, 6 Cordes” by Yvan Cujious (vocals, trumpet) and Louis Winsberg (guitar, arrangements). For a repertoire rarely arranged or performed on guitar, it took the immense talent of Louis Winsberg (Sixun, Nougaro, Maurane...) and the precise, delicate voice of Yvan Cujious to bring this masterful repertoire—in which Spain makes a subtle mark—to life in a unique and fresh way. In this high-caliber concert-spectacle—a blend of virtuoso performances and original lyrics, stand-up comedy, and jazz—we cry, we sing, we laugh, and then we get chills when an “Armstrong-esque” trumpet bridges the gap between the Mississippi and the Garonne.
