Maison du Parc National du Mercantour de Valberg - Secteur Haut-Var-Cians

Located in the heart of the new environmental center (the DOME), the Maison du Parc team will provide you with information about the Mercantour protected natural area, its flora and fauna, its regulations, and its cultural heritage. It’s also an ideal place to gain a deeper understanding of the riches and challenges of this exceptional region through conversations with staff members. The Maison du Parc welcomes school groups in particular and offers educational activities designed to help students discover and appreciate nature and the environment. Groups can explore the educational garden and discover the incredible biodiversity of the Mercantour through a magnificent cabinet of curiosities, designed to help visitors observe and better understand the fragility and diversity of life. Whether you’re a local resident, hiker, naturalist, or school group, come meet us to learn how to fully enjoy the Mercantour National Park while respecting nature and its regulations. Hours of operation: Open daily from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., except Mondays. The Maison du Parc is also open on the national holidays of July 14 and August 15.
