Description
In *Charo Responsable*, Malik Belkhodja explores love, faith, freedom, and all the contradictions that come with them.
This is the story of a man who has built a “charo” persona for himself in order to survive in a world where one must always appear strong, detached, and unfeeling. On stage, Malik subtly explores the constant tension between desire and morality, spirituality and instincts, sincerity and appearances. He examines relationships, single life, social and religious pressures, and the need we all have to play a role to avoid being judged. Behind the irony and lightheartedness lies genuine tenderness and a desire for truth. His humor—both direct and kind—transforms taboos into bursts of laughter and contradictions into a collective mirror. Event in collaboration with the Bobar Comedy Club.
