Following the opening of the 2024 Paris Olympics, the MazelFreten Company presents its fourth production: *Memento*! In this work, Laura Defretin and Brandon Masele blend the essence of their art: the fusion of hip-hop and electronic music.
In this forward-looking manifesto—paradoxically rooted in a return to its origins—Memento brings together three electro dancers with sweeping, vibrant movements and three hip-hop dancers firmly grounded on the floor. Their movements and backgrounds differ—from China to Russia, from Portugal to France—and yet the group moves as one. On a pristine mat, Memento radiates a zest for life and embodies the founding values of the MazelFreten company: performance, poetry, unity, and elevation.
