Description
Beware—she’s mesmerizing! MiiRA is like a poppy blooming amid concrete, a free and powerful voice born between Brazil and France. Her ambition: to create a “neo-Tropicalia” and carve out a place for it in the history of French and international pop music.
Inspired by 1970s Tropicalism, she draws on pop culture and integrates it into Brazilian tradition to tell the story of a woman born from the encounter between Paris and Rio, in search of love and freedom.
MiiRA draws from Brazilian popular music a way of being in the world and of coming together as a community. Music becomes that invisible thread that connects people, somewhere between celebration and prayer.
