Description
In the countryside of northeastern France, wild boars ravaging crops are sparking an all-out war between hunters and farmers.
Brun, a bankrupt grain farmer, is struggling to keep his farm afloat. When a local bigwig pushes him over the edge, he snaps and disappears. A year later, Fulda, a Corsican gendarme transferred to the region for disciplinary reasons, takes charge of the investigation. Between flashes of insight and spectacular blunders, his haphazard methods lead him on the trail of the “Attilas”—wild boars of extraordinary size. But his recent breakup and the vodka clouding his mind aren’t helping. Fortunately, there’s Stéphane, the gendarmerie’s new psychologist: she’s there to bring a little order to his chaos—or is it the other way around?
