Description
In the 18th century, music had to be, above all, … charming. Elegant, cheerful, never too serious—in short, gallant. Mozart was the master of this style.
The Little Night Music unfolds like a conversation among friends: everything seems simple, natural, and obvious. Then Symphony No. 29 adds a touch of drama—there’s dancing, almost singing; Italy is never far away. And suddenly, an unexpected guest arrives two centuries later: Stravinsky. In *Pulcinella*, he brings out the wigs, the silk costumes, the pretense, and the stirrings of the heart. Same orchestra, same elegance, but not the same era: gallantry turns to humor. Mozart charms, Stravinsky plays… and the audience enjoys both. Conductor: Luigi Mazzocchi
