Movie synopsis:
Cleopatra, Queen of Egypt, decides to defy the Roman Emperor Julius Caesar by building a sumptuous palace in the middle of the desert in just three months. If she succeeds, he must publicly concede that the Egyptian people are the greatest of all peoples. To do so, Cleopatra calls upon Numérobis, an energetic avant-garde architect. If he succeeds, she will shower him with gold. If he fails, she will throw him to the crocodiles. Aware of the challenge ahead, he seeks help from his old friend Panoramix. The druid makes the journey to Egypt with Asterix and Obelix. Meanwhile, Amonbofis, Cleopatra’s official architect, jealous that the queen has chosen Numérobis to build the palace, will do everything in his power to ensure his rival’s failure.
