The Palvair Jazz Unit brings together four musicians driven by a love of live jazz, improvisation, and musical interaction. Centered around Cathy Palvair’s expressive voice, the group reinterprets jazz standards with a highly personal touch: Cathy rewrites the lyrics in French, infusing them with humor, finesse, and a powerful stage presence. The repertoire thus becomes more direct, more theatrical, sometimes funny, and always deeply felt. On guitar, Éric Sempé brings his sense of phrasing, tonal color, and musical dialogue. Claude Tedesco, on the organ, enriches the ensemble with his harmonic playing and jazz energy. On drums, Cédric Le Donne provides the momentum with a flexible, precise, and open rhythm section. A close-knit, warm, and expressive quartet where the standards become a playground for emotion and freedom.
