This small parking lot (20 spaces) is accessible to vans and RVs (there is no height restriction barrier). A trail climbs alongside the flower-filled fields of medicinal plant growers, cutting through them to reach the RD 138 above.
From this parking lot, it’s about a ten-minute walk to the Franciscan monastery managed by the National Monuments Center. Simply follow the RD 138, which runs past the magnificent Romanesque church (private, deconsecrated) of the Madonne del Poggio (11th century), past the retirement home “Le Temps des cerises” to the eastern entrance of the pedestrian-only medieval village: the climb offers a superb panoramic view of the entire village. You can choose to continue straight ahead on Rue Louis Périssol toward the village center, or turn right onto Montée du Père Mattias to reach the monastery, its gardens, and the Church of Notre-Dame des Miracles, from where you’ll overlook the village.
From this parking lot (24 spaces)—which is accessible to small vans and small RVs—at the lowest point on the east side (near the Church of the Madonna del Poggio and the Bendola Valley), you’re about a ten-minute walk from the Franciscan monastery managed by the National Monuments Center.
