Description
Orpheus loves Eurydice, but she dies on their wedding day.
Guided by the gods, he embarks on a journey through the Underworld to bring her back to life, confronted by furies and fantastical creatures, with only his lyre and a strict ban on turning back until he has regained the light. The most difficult part of the journey will be the return: resisting the desire to see Eurydice, whose impatience and strong character put his oath to the test.
A regular at the TNN, where she has presented 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, La Mouche, The Hilton Sisters and Gulliver's Journey with Christian Hecq, Valérie Lesort returns with a wonderfully offbeat, fairytale retelling of Gluck's opera Orphée et Eurydice. A funny, tender and delightful journey!
Faithful to the original work but free in tone, Valérie Lesort breathes humor and fantasy into this Western opera, in a miniature visual universe of unprecedented inventiveness.
With Louise Bourgeat, Camille Brault alternating with Marie Lenormand, Béatrice Nanni alternating with Amélie Tatti
And musicians Marine Thoreau La Salle alternating with Nicolas Royez, Katia Weimann [piano].
