Through a series of portraits taken at several shelters in the Var region, *Dans leurs yeux* gives a voice to those who cannot tell their own stories.
Each photograph highlights an abandoned animal—its gaze, its emotions, and its journey. Behind every image lies a story that is often difficult, but also the hope for a second chance.
For over a year, Émilie met with shelter volunteers and animals waiting for a home to document a reality that is still too often overlooked: the abandonment of pets.
This exhibition aims to raise public awareness of the responsibility that comes with adopting a pet and to highlight the daily work of animal welfare organizations.

A professional photographer based in La Croix-Valmer, Émilie places emotion and authenticity at the heart of her work. Through her images, she seeks to tell true stories and create a connection between the viewer and the subject being photographed.
