For more than ten years, double bassist and composer Pierre Marcus has been thrilling jazz audiences with his quartet, which brings together three top-notch musicians: Baptiste Herbin on saxophone, Pierre Eden Guilbaud on drums, and Simon Chivallon on piano. Together, they craft music that is both rooted in tradition and resolutely open to modernity. Winners of several competitions and awards, their music blends rhythmic intensity, lyricism, and human warmth. With four albums to their credit, the quartet continues a musical journey rich in energy, emotion, and connection, where every concert becomes a lively encounter with the audience.
