Pink October

Throughout October, the local authorities of Méditerranée Porte des Maures are getting involved in Pink October and are offering a programme of activities to encourage you to get active, socialise and look after yourself, as part of the campaign to raise awareness of and promote screening for breast cancer. Charities, volunteers, professionals, sports clubs and local organisations have put together a varied programme that’s open to everyone: Charity runs and walks, cycle rides, yoga, wellbeing workshops, family activities, theatre, cultural events and creative hobbies: so many opportunities to get together, share a friendly moment and take part in a collective effort to support prevention. Among the month’s highlights, ‘La Londe en Rose’ invites you to join us on Sunday 11 October from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm, at Place Charles-Camoin in the village, which will feature children’s workshops, wellbeing activities, a march accompanied by a brass band, exhibitions, demonstrations and information stands run by healthcare professionals. Through these numerous events, Pink October will be an opportunity to come together and foster a spirit of solidarity in our local area.
