Lyric mezzo-soprano Mariam Fattakhova invites the audience on a journey through some of the most beautiful pieces in the vocal repertoire, inspired by the sacred, prayer, and spirituality. This recital spans different eras and musical styles.

The program will feature, among other works, Charles Gounod’s “Ô Divin Rédempteur,” César Franck’s “Panis Angelicus,” Georges Bizet’s “Agnus Dei,” Schubert’s “Ave Maria,” Bach’s “Erbarme dich,” and Gustav Mahler’s “Wir geniessen die himmlischen Freuden” (Symphony No. 4). The repertoire also includes the famous “Ave Maria” attributed to Caccini, Gómez’s “Ave Maria,” and an excerpt from Pergolesi’s “Stabat Mater.” For this concert, she will be accompanied on the organ by Stéphane Eliot, Principal Organist at Nice Cathedral.
