Created in 1990, R.E.N. was approved for environmental protection on 4 August 1994. Its aim is to make the whole population aware of the need to ensure the harmonious and efficient development of our region.
It is a force for proposals and actions to be undertaken to ensure the blossoming of the Roya Valley's own living environment.
It has participated in meetings to draw up the charter of the Mercantour National Park, and is a member of the steering committee of several Natura 2000 sites in the Roya Valley.
The association is entitled to be designated to take part in the debate on the environment taking place within the framework of the departmental consultative bodies. (Prefectural authorisation order of 11 August 2015 under article R. 141-21 of the Environment Code).
A member of the departmental plan for the elimination of household and similar waste, it has been working on waste and landfill issues for many years.
