Danielle Botbol invites you to explore her exhibition, "Regards d'âme."
Another person’s face is a space where we find ourselves. I explore gazes to discover in them a uniqueness, a mystery, but also what connects us deeply: our shared humanity. The writers, painters, and artists I have chosen to portray have opened my eyes to worlds of great richness. Other faces—whether imaginary or anonymous—become universal presences onto which everyone can project their own story. Color is at the heart of my painting. Far more than a visual language, it reveals emotions, creates a vibration, a balance, and harmony. Its intensity interacts with the expressions on the faces, ultimately merging into a single emotion. Each portrait is an encounter. I hope that these gazes and colors will invite the viewer on their own inner journey.
