Description
To mark the 23rd Rendez-vous aux Jardins, the Tropical Zoological Garden invites you to an original and fascinating weekend: the garden as seen through the eyes of insects!
On 6 and 7 June 2026, the Tropical Zoological Garden will be taking part in the Rendez-vous aux Jardins, the major national event devoted to outstanding gardens, on the theme of "gardens and sight".
What if flowers weren't seen in the same way by all living creatures?
Throughout the weekend, come and enjoy fun, educational and fascinating insect-related experiences by observing the garden in a different way!
- Several illustrated educational panels are set up in the park to learn more about the colours seen by different insects, the way they perceive flowers, the links between plants and pollinators, and the incredible adaptations developed by living things.
- Free activities for young and old are organised on Saturday and Sunday from 2pm to 5pm.
Discovery workshops: ''the garden as seen by insects''. Compare human vision with that of different insects, discover the colours seen by bees, butterflies or dragonflies, and understand how certain plants attract insects.
- An exceptional botanical guided tour is offered on Sunday from 10.15am to 11.45am by Jean Michel Dupuyoo, owner of the Garden. Limited number of places, pre-booking recommended via our website: https://zootropical.com/rendez-vous-aux-jardins-2026/
