Description
30 minutes from the Capital of Perfume, located in the town of Thorenc in the upper Grasse region, discover the natural surroundings of the Monts d'Azur Reserve and its accommodation in traditional rooms or in an ecolodge.
The Monts d'Azur Reserve is a mosaic of open environments (rocks, scree, grasslands) and remarkable woodlands made up of downy oaks, hop hornbeams, beeches and rowans.
Formerly a hunting reserve, the area is home to a particularly rich variety of wildlife, with over 500 species, many of which are protected by international conventions.
The Domaine du Haut-Thorenc has a long history. Construction of the manor house began around 1550, as evidenced by the remains of the fortified interior and the vaulted cellars.
Extensively remodelled during the 17th and 18th centuries, the manor house retains the character of the bastides of Provence, with its round towers to the north.
Our accommodation:
- Le Petit Manoir: a 17th-century building steeped in history and renovated with respect for the environment
- La Villa Bioclimatique: a completely self-sufficient villa powered by clean energy (solar and geothermal)
- The Ecolodges: An intrusion into the privacy of wild animals
From May to October, you can spend the night surrounded by nature in the Ecolodges.
