As it does every year, on the last weekend of September, Menton celebrates Saint Michael, the city’s patron saint. Join us for a weekend filled with Menton’s traditions, the agricultural world, and a warm, friendly atmosphere.
Saturday, September 26, and Sunday, September 27: From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., head to the Esplanade du Bastion to enjoy a variety of activities: Local farmers’ market. Animal area featuring cows, pigs, sheep, and donkeys, offering a chance to explore the world of farming; Free workshops for children focused on agriculture and traditional farm work. Saturday, September 26: Open-air dance party From 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM, the festivities will continue on the Mail du Bastion in a lively open-air dance party atmosphere. On the program: food trucks; a stage and entertainment; a musical, friendly, and festive atmosphere. A chance to extend this first day of Saint-Michel with a moment of togetherness with family or friends. Sunday, September 27: Sunday will be dedicated to the traditional Saint-Michel celebrations. 10:00 a.m. • Solemn Mass 11:15 a.m. / 11:30 a.m. • Start of the procession toward the Esplanade Francis-Palmero. 12:15 p.m. • Arrival at the Francis-Palmero Esplanade Upon the procession’s arrival, induction ceremonies will take place first into the Brotherhood of the Lemon Magistrates and then into the Brotherhood of Menton Etiquette: 1:00 p.m. • Official Saint Michael’s Day lunch featuring spit-roasted pig. Two days of festivities to celebrate Menton’s traditions and pay homage to Saint Michael, patron saint of the City of Lemons.
