Description
Thierry Jam, an eclectic, itinerant pianist with a unique career path—trained in both early music and the great classics—delivers a passionate interpretation of the works of the great masters of the keyboard. This solo recital showcases Bach, Veil, and Chopin.
Born in Perpignan in 1970 and trained by masters such as Pierre Sancan and Maria João Pires, Thierry Jam has built a unique career spanning solo piano, Baroque music, and a variety of collaborations. As the founder of the Stradella dell’Arte ensemble and the Universal Trio, he performs on his Steinway D.274 piano, which he takes with him from churches to abbeys.
His repertoire ranges from Bach to Schumann, from contemporary music to jazz, and he experiments with different formats to appeal to all audiences.
On the program: Chopin’s magnificent 24 Preludes—a true masterpiece of the Romantic repertoire—paired with works by Johann Sebastian Bach and composer Olivier Veil.
