A Monegasque cultural association founded in 2009, “Les Amis des Arts… au fil des saisons” is dedicated to promoting and enhancing the artistic influence of the Principality of Monaco through active support for its musical and cultural life. This Tuesday, October 20, the association presents an exceptional concert by organist Stéphane Eliot featuring film scores. Specializing in film music performed on the grand organ (a program presented at Alpe d’Huez, the cathedrals of Lodève and Monaco, and Notre-Dame de Bon-Voyage in Cannes), Stéphane Eliot will perform some fifteen works for you this evening. Among them are the overture to Georges Bizet’s *Carmen*, works by Ennio Morricone (*Once Upon a Time in the West* and *The Man with the Harmonica*), by John Williams (Harry Potter Medley, Star Wars…), Richard Strauss (Stanley Kubrick’s 2001: A Space Odyssey), Dmitri Shostakovich’s Jazz Waltz No. 2 (Eyes Wide Shut), Maurice Ravel’s Boléro (Les uns les autres), and Leonard Bernstein’s famous “America” (West Side Story).
